Terms of service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms cover your purchase and use of MintDisk, a desktop utility for macOS (Windows and Linux versions will follow). By installing or using MintDisk, you agree to them.
Your license
A MintDisk purchase is a one-time, lifetime license with lifetime updates. There is no subscription. You may use MintDisk on the number of Macs included in your plan.
Plans
Every Pro feature is free for 7 days (the trial). After the trial, scanning, viewing results and restoring files from the recovery area stay available, while cleaning, deleting and other changes need Pro. Pro covers up to 3 devices with unrestricted deep cleanup, quarantine recovery, developer tools and automation. Pro Plus covers up to 10 devices with remote multi-device management.
Account and license activation
Activating MintDisk links your license to a Mac and counts against your plan limit. You can sign in to the account portal to view and deactivate machines so you can move your license to a new Mac yourself.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing scan results, verifying cleanup selections, and maintaining proper backups of critical data before executing permanent deletion. MintDisk operates under safety-first defaults, but users retain ultimate responsibility for their file management decisions.
Safety disclaimer
MintDisk prioritizes data safety ahead of reclaiming disk space. Please review our safety architecture.
No guarantee
MintDisk is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for hardware damage, data loss, lost work, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from using MintDisk. Your remedy is limited to the amount you paid for the license.
Related policies
Your purchase is also covered by our refund policy and our acceptable use policy. Please read both; they form part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as MintDisk evolves. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
